EU Study Days 2022 has started!

Simon Kuznets Kharkiv National University of Economics is a partner of EU Study Days 2022!!!

We had a special guest – Remi Duflot, the Deputy Head of the EU Delegation to Ukraine.

He inspired every member of the event with a powerful speech on the support that the EU shows for Ukraine and the prospects for a European future for our country: “The European Union stands with Ukraine from the very first day and hours of this war. The journey toward membership may start very soon. However, how fast it will be, depends not only on winning the war (which is obvious) but on how Ukraine will be rebuilt. Rebuilding Ukraine means not only physical rebuilding. It means, first of all, renewal of institutions, renewal of legislation, and eliminating corruption. By doing so, you will create a competitive economy, with opportunities for Ukrainian people and foreign investors.”

The participants had a chance to ask the Deputy Head of the Delegation their questions. The topic of the role of young people in the European integration processes was especially interesting. Remi Duflot inspired young people and noted that “it will be a crucial few year when all energies will be needed. This will be the moment when Ukraine will be in dire need of active youth.”

Moreover, our lectors and recent years alumni joined us for the opening.

That it was a special and inspiring event for all EU Study Days participants. We are looking forward to an interesting season of the EU Study Days-2022!
