JOINT FRENCH-UKRAINIAN MASTER’S DEGREE PROGRAM

MBA with a concentration on “BUSINESS INFORMATICS”

(“MASTER OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION”)

The program was awarded the top grade A+ in 2010 according to the Agency for Evaluation of Scientific Research – AERES (France)).
The Joint French-Ukrainian Master’s Degree Program has been running since 2005.
Over the period of 7 years more than 100 graduates obtained Master’s Degree diplomas of two universities. This master program trains experts in Informatics, Statistics, Business Management, and Economics. The main objective of the program in “Business Informatics” is to train managers capable of business problem-solving and business management with the help of information technologies. Graduates’ activity is concerned with decision making, corporate system management, organizing and optimizing business activity. On-site enterprise training and project carrying out under the supervision of university instructors are the essentials of the program.
Program background:
Joint Master’s Degree Program “Statistics and Informatics of Decision Making” was launched in 2005. Since then the number of participants has increased from 13 students in 2005-2007 to 25 students in 2008-2010 and 2009-2011.

Training process organization
120 ECTS (4 terms = 2 years)
3 terms at KhNU of Economics (in Kharkiv, a joint program with the teachers of University Lyon 2 participation)
1 term + on-site training = 30 ECTS in LYON
The program lasts 4 terms, for 3 terms the students study in Kharkiv, the teachers of the University Lyon 2 joining the program, and for 1 term the studies are carried out in Lyon.

Master’s Degree Program admission requirements
Candidates, having a Bachelor’s Degree are accepted, as well as those who have completed a full course of higher education and are now employed somewhere. Classes are held in the evenings and on Saturdays.
Admission criteria
The candidates’ selection is carried out by a joint French-Ukrainian committee, representatives of French Cultural Centre and the participating enterprises.

30 Ukrainian students and 3-5 French students, who are studying Russian, are admitted.

The program is supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of France and Rhône-Alpes, French and Ukrainian Association of Innovations and Technology Transition; Applied Statistics and Mathematics Association, “IT of Ukraine” – the Association that comprises a lot of Ukrainian enterprises, dealing with information technologies. French Programs’ Alumni Association also supports the program.
