• Webinar “development of EU-Ukraine partnership in public administration”

    On October 29, 2021, Kharkiv National Economic University named after Simon Kuznets hosted a webinar “Development of the EU – Ukraine partnership in public administration” within the framework of the Erasmus+ Jean Monnet project “democratic decentralization as a European experience of Public Administration”.

    On October 29, 2021, Kharkiv National Economic University named after Simon Kuznets hosted a webinar “Development of the EU – Ukraine partnership in public administration” within the framework of the Erasmus+ Jean Monnet project “democratic decentralization as a European experience of Public Administration”.

    The event was joined by 75 participants (students, representatives of domestic and foreign educational institutions, leading specialists of Local Self-Government in Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy and Merefa).

    The conference was organized with the participation of partners of the National Erasmus+ office in Ukraine, Mikolas Romeris University (Lithuania), Warsaw Technological University “Warsaw Polytechnic” (Poland), educational and Scientific Institute “Institute of Public Administration” of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, Kharkiv Regional State Administration, Public organization “All-Ukrainian student Brotherhood “Elite of the nation” and public organization “development of communities of Kharkiv region”.

    Vice-rector for research and international cooperation of S. Kuznets KhNUE Volodymyr YERMACHENKO addressed the participants with a welcoming speech, who stressed the relevance of the issues that will be discussed at the webinar, as the processes of decentralization, democratization of society are accelerating in Ukraine and a new administrative-territorial structure is being formed.

    Petro KRAINYK, manager of the Jean Monnet direction of the National Erasmus+ office in Ukraine (Kyiv) of the National Erasmus+ office in Ukraine, congratulated all participants on the event and wished them fruitful work. He noted that within the framework of the project, Civil Servants Act both as partners and as a task force. Petro KRAINYK emphasized that the experience of our teachers is valuable because we train applicants for Higher Education who will be agents of change in the future and who will be able to bring European experience, the experience of our project to their daily activities and will contribute to the reform of the public administration system.

    The event was joined by Yuriy KUTS, Doctor of Public Administration, Professor, Acting Head of the Department of Regional Management and Local Self-Government, Institute of Public Administration, V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, who shared the results of his own research on the prospects of decentralization on the example of Kharkiv, Sumy and Poltava regions.

    Nadiia MYRNA, Associate Professor of the Department of Law and European Integration, Institute of Public Administration, V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University provided answers to questions about how decentralization reforms and public administration reforms are related to the prospect of Ukraine’s accession to the European Union.

    Kristina BABENKO, Doctor of Economics, Professor, Successful Project Manager, shared her experience in project implementation, new trends and opportunities in project activities in the vector of Ukraine’s rapprochement with the EU.

    Oleksiy KURTSEV, President of the All-Ukrainian Student Brotherhood “Elite of the Nation”, joined the webinar, noting the importance of the event in the framework of decentralization reform and strengthening the Ukraine-EU partnership.

    Oleg AMOSOV, Doctor of Economics, Professor, Honored Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine, Head of the Department of Economic Theory and Public Finance, Institute of Public Administration, V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, who noted that today the united territorial communities must acquire modern forms of activity, modern forms of communication. Their development should be primarily related to innovation, namely the introduction of SMART OTG.

    Larysa HORDIENKO, Candidate of Sciences (Economics), Associate Professor of the Department of Public Administration, Public Administration and Regional Economy and Vatskovsky Kazimierz Stanislavovych, Ph.D. in Economics, Professor, Head Department of Information Systems, Warsaw University of Technology “Warsaw Polytechnic” made a report on “Experience of the Polish-Ukrainian partnership of educational institutions in the field of research on topical issues of public administration”, and noted the vectors of cooperation under the agreement on scientific cooperation.

    Yuliia LOLA Candidate of Sciences (Economics), Associate Professor of the Department of Public Administration, Public Administration and Regional Economics, noted the strategic course of Ukraine on participation in the European Green agreement, that is, the development of environmental cooperation between Ukraine and the EU, and stressed important strategic directions for transformation in the energy sector. This implies the development of the latest technologies, in particular hydrogen, as well as renewable energy sources.

    Nataliia GAVKALOVA, Doctor of Economics, Professor, Head of the Department of Public Administration, Public Administration and Regional Economics, concluded the event with a report on the practical results of the event.
