Title: «Public Administration and U.S. President Executive Orders»
The President of the United States has enormous authority to act and issue orders that often carry the force of law, especially in public administration. This lecture examines the constitutional and legal basis for presidential executive orders. It look at how they are used in US domestic and foreign policy, and what role Congress has in checking or enhancing them, and the role they play in public administration.

What role should science, social science, and other evidence have in the making and implementation of public policy? This talk discusses what evidence-based public policy and administration is and that factors that often make it difficult to translate research into good policy and practice.
